Refugee Women Connect - Iqra Mazhir

Primary tabs

Refugee Women Connect is a charity that supports female asylum seekers & refugees (including victims of trafficking, sexual violence and domestic abuse) in Liverpool, St Helens & Halton. Refugee Women Connect exists because women asylum seekers and refugees face inequality and are denied social justice. Refugee and asylum-seeking women can be vulnerable and isolated, not knowing what their rights are or how to exercise those rights. We aim to support our service users understand these rights as well as offering a safe space for our service users to come and meet others or to get practical and emotional support.
The best way to get help is to attend one of our drop-ins. All our drop-ins are a women-only safe space. When you attend our drop-in we will explain the different ways that we can support you. This could be by offering you help finding a solicitor, making a phone call, interpreting a letter or providing you with someone who can attend an appointment with you.
